The Ameraucana is a lovely breed that lays the most amazing shade of blue eggs. This breed is an American breed of domestic chicken developed in the United States in the 1970s. It was derived from chickens brought from South America that carried the blue egg gene, and was bred to maintain the blue egg color of that breed. We love Blue/Black/Splash Ameraucana's because when you hatch them, it's a colour surprise every time! Will the chick be black, blue or splash? Our hen's lay a range of blue to blue green eggs and are full of personality. Great with kids and always a curious bird.
